Dive into our innovative curriculum

Explore this summer's line-up

We’re on a mission to develop innovators who envision and create a better world. We do it by training our incredible staff to understand and teach the Galileo Innovation Approach—“the G.I.A.”

The GIA is inspired by the innovation process developed at the Stanford d.school. We took some of their fundamental ideas, added our own, then adapted it for kids from pre-K through 8th grade, when they’re especially open to absorbing new ways to think, explore and create.

Spend a summer diving into the GIA and our fresh, inspiring curriculum, which has been recognized by the White House for excellence in STE(A)M programming. Whether you’re a seasoned educator across multiple disciplines or a specific subject-matter enthusiast, you’re sure to find something new and exciting to learn this summer while sharing your expertise. Take a look at our two primary camp programs and examples of projects that you can help create this summer.

Galileo Summer Quest (rising 5th-8th graders)

At Galileo Summer Quest, you’ll spend the summer empowering middle-school campers to go deeper, focusing on one major for the entire week. Teach material you’re already passionate about, or hone your expertise in brand new subject matter while gaining cutting-edge skills for your resume. You’ll use professional tools and software while adding your own flair to the classroom, creating your ideal learning experience for pre-teen innovators eager to explore and create.

2017 Sneak Peek

We’re bringing back popular legacy majors like Video Game Design and Painting Studio while introducing new GSQ majors including Mystery Room: The Great Escape and YouTube Producers. Use Tinkercad and our 3D printers to bring a camper’s vision to life, or teach Java as you hack the code in Minecraft. Julienne carrots on sushi day in Chefology or use jigsaw cutters as campers create full-size catapults and go-karts in our maker classes. Whatever your current or future passion is, we have a GSQ major to fuel it and inspire you daily.
