Kim Marcis
Camp Director

A Palo Alto native and Gunn High School graduate, Kim is thrilled to return to the Peninsula and join the Galileo team as Camp Director of Camp Galileo and Galileo Summer Quest Los Altos. With over fifteen years of experience as an educator, she is passionate about inspiring children both inside and outside of the classroom. Kim has led high school students to rural India, taught natural history in Yosemite Valley and worked as a second and fourth grade teacher. She received her bachelor’s degree in earth science from Wesleyan University and earned her teaching credential and master’s in teaching from CSU Fresno. Currently, Kim is busy practicing her chicken dance for her most captive audience, her two children, Lyell and Whitney.
