Sunnyvale Camp Galileo: Mingle

Star and Supernova campers have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. In an Outdoor activity called "Mingle, Mingle, Mingle,"  campers walk around on the field and when called to do so, they find a partner to high-five. The Outdoors rotation is a great way to interact with their fellow peers.

Sunnyvale Camp Galileo: African Safari Art

At Camp Galileo Sunnyvale, Supernova campers, who painted a sunset using watercolors yesterday, cut out silhouettes of African safari animals using black construction paper. Supernova campers also learn about the use of negative space. Lead Art Instructor, Morgan, like the rest of the staff at Camp Galileo Sunnyvale, allows for an environment that cultivates creativity and experimentation.

Sunnyvale Camp Galileo: African Safari

Sunnyvale Camp Galileo Star camper Nadav constructs and blows a horn he made during his Science rotation. The horns, made out of a balloon and paper towel rolls, are built by the campers to sound like the low noises of an elephant and the roar of a lion. Campers learn about the importance of sound waves and high and low frequencies.

Sunnyvale Galileo Quest: Dream Big

Galileo Quest Campers experiment with Nikon digital SLRs and take photos of everything from ladybugs among the blades of grass to bird's eye view shots of their fellow campers from above. Campers also receive notebooks in which they may sketch their ideas and brainstorm scenes to capture.
